Who we are
Uninki is an independent driver-run website based in Japan, offering product recommendations, guides and optional account tools. This policy covers our website and services, not Amazon’s delivery operations or other websites. We do not receive Amazon customer delivery addresses, order histories or delivery records through this website. For privacy questions or operator details, use the contact address below.
Information we receive
If you sign in, we receive your verified email address and an account identifier from the authentication service. We store account status, registration and recent activity dates, saved-product identifiers, marketing choices and deletion-request details. Notebook information is whatever you choose to enter. Reviews and comments include your submitted name, email, text, rating where applicable, consent and submission date. Contact forms send your name, email, topic, message and consent to our form provider and contact mailbox. Hosting and security providers may process IP addresses, browser/device information, request details and security logs. Please do not submit identity documents, payment-card details, delivery-recipient information or other sensitive information.
Why we use it
We use information to authenticate customers, provide saved products and notebook tools, handle enquiries, moderate submissions, manage accounts and deletion requests, protect the website and prevent abuse. We send promotional emails only if you choose to receive them; you can withdraw that choice in My Uninki. Creating an account or submitting a review does not itself subscribe you to marketing. We may send necessary service replies separately. We do not sell your personal information.
Your private notebook and account
Your saved list and notebook are not published or shared with other customers. Access requires your authenticated account, and customer requests are checked against that account. Authorized operators and infrastructure providers may access stored information when needed for support, security, maintenance or lawful obligations. This is not end-to-end encrypted storage. Keep your login and device secure, sign out on shared devices, and export notebook records you wish to keep before requesting deletion. Fuel and tax tools are estimates, not professional advice.
Reviews, comments and public content
Approved reviews and comments display your submitted name, text, date and product rating where applicable. Your email address is not displayed publicly. Product reviews and guide comments are separate. Public contributions may be read, copied or indexed by others; do not include private information. We may reject, edit for moderation or remove submissions. Use the contact address to ask about an individual contribution, including one submitted without an account.
Cookies, browser storage and external links
Authentication uses necessary cookies to remember a valid session. Blocking or clearing them may require sign-in again. Session storage may temporarily remember the product you wanted to save before login. The website notification centre remembers which announcements you read in local browser storage. This does not require an account and is not synced across devices. Clearing storage resets the unread count. Our application does not embed advertising pixels. External image hosts receive requests when their images load. Following an Amazon affiliate link, a social-sharing link or a contact-form submission takes information to that provider, which may use its own cookies, security checks or tracking under its own policy. Affiliate links identify referrals and may earn us a commission; we do not receive your Amazon payment details or individual order history. You can use your browser’s cookie controls and avoid optional external interactions.
Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare provides hosting, database/storage and authentication/security services for the public website. FormSubmit handles contact-form submissions and sends them to our email provider. Amazon, linked social services and external image hosts have their own privacy policies. The private ChatGPT-hosted preview may use ChatGPT authentication and hosting services rather than the public login. Information may be processed outside Japan according to the relevant provider’s infrastructure and safeguards. We share information as needed to run the service, respond to your request, protect rights or comply with applicable law; we do not provide account data to advertisers for their own marketing.
How long information stays
Account, saved-product and notebook data normally remain until you request deletion and we complete it. There is currently no automatic expiry for inactive accounts. Reviews/comments remain while published or awaiting moderation unless removed. We retain enquiries and correspondence as needed to resolve the matter, administer the business or meet applicable obligations. Completed account deletion removes the account, saved products, notebook and submissions matching its email from the active database. We retain a hashed identity marker to prevent an existing session from recreating a deleted account. Provider logs, inboxes and backups have separate retention and may not disappear immediately; restricted copies are retained only as needed for recovery, security or lawful obligations.
Your choices and privacy requests
Use My Uninki > Account settings to change optional marketing consent, log out or request account deletion. You can cancel a pending deletion request before it is completed. Contact us to ask about access, disclosure, correction, deletion, stopping use or any privacy concern, including information held outside your account. We may verify your identity without requesting excessive information and explain any lawful limit on a request. Please do not send sensitive documents unless we agree on a safe method. We aim to respond promptly. If you have a delivery or Amazon order issue, contact Amazon’s support directly; this website is not an official delivery-support channel.
Children and security
Account tools are intended for adults and are not designed to collect children’s personal information. If a child has submitted personal information, contact us to request removal. We use authenticated access, restricted administration, HTTPS and server-side checks, but no online service can promise absolute security. Do not share your account or enter information you would not want entrusted to an online service.
Policy updates
We update this page when our services or data practices change and show the updated date. Where required, we give additional notice or seek consent before a new use of your information. Read this policy together with our affiliate disclosure and the policies of services you choose to visit.
